A Proud Moment for Lion and Lamb

It’s been a big few weeks for us here at Lion and Lamb and we wanted to take a moment to share a little update.
Earlier this year, we were incredibly proud to be shortlisted for Pub/Bar of the Year at the Advertiser & Times Food & Drink Awards 2026. To receive that kind of recognition less than a year after opening our doors honestly means the world to us and we couldn’t be happier for the nomination!
From day one our aim has simply been to create a welcoming, relaxed village pub — somewhere people can enjoy good food, good company and feel at home. So to be acknowledged in this way felt like a real reflection of what we’re building here.
The Awards Afternoon
The awards event itself was a lovely occasion, bringing together so many brilliant local venues. It was a great opportunity to meet others in the industry, share stories and celebrate everything that makes our local food and drink scene so special.
While we didn’t take home the top prize this time we left feeling genuinely grateful — not just to have been nominated but to have been included among such a strong group of finalists.
A Thank You to Our Community
Reaching the finals within just nine months of opening is something we’re really proud of but it’s not something we’ve done alone.
We’ve been so warmly welcomed by the local community and the support we’ve received since opening has meant everything to us. Whether you’ve joined us for a quiet drink, a family meal or a catch up with friends — you’ve all played a part in this journey- so a big thank you to all our customers and everyone who has left us a review too.
Our Team
We also want to take a moment to recognise our amazingly hardworking team…
Behind the scenes (and front of house) there’s a huge amount of hard work, care and attention that goes into what we do every day. Their commitment to creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is what makes Lion and Lamb what it is and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they do.
Looking Ahead
A big thank you as well to Lymington Times & Advertiser for organising such a well run and enjoyable event and to everyone who nominated us and continues to support us.
We may not have taken home the award this time, but being shortlisted so early on is something we’re proud of — and it only motivates us to keep improving and doing what we love.
